Albuquerque Trip

On September 11, 2001, the day NYC was attacked, we were at the Albuquerque airport. We had just gotten our boarding passes when we noticed crowds around the TVs. We checked to see what the fuss was all about and found that one of the WTC towers was a smokestack. The news got worse!

We decided to turn in our boarding passes and head for the car rental place. After 15 hours of driving, we arrived back in Castro Valley. It was a good thing we made that decision because it was 3 or 4 days before air traffic resumed.
